El Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) marcha a todo vapor para mantener en 2028 su poderío como organización oficialista. A solo dos días de que se escogiera la nueva dirección nacional, el dirigente Eduardo -Yayo- Sanz Lovatón expresó públicamente su respaldo al aspirante presidencial de esa organización David Collado.
Sanz Lovatón era uno de los nueve autoproclamados "presidenciables" del PRM, quienes, desde que el actual presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, anunció que su salida en 2028 era definitiva, han sacado la cabeza para empezar a estructurar sus proyectos políticos con miras a conquistar la boleta del Ejecutivo.
El también ministro de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes expresó su apoyo a las aspiraciones presidenciales de David Collado, a quien definió como el representante de una generación preparada para dar continuidad a la obra de gobierno del presidente Luis Abinader.
El dirigente manifestó su respaldo a Collado en un artículo titulado "Es el momento de David", publicado en el periódico Listín Diario, en el que destacó la trayectoria política, profesional y empresarial del ministro de Turismo, así como los resultados obtenidos durante su paso por distintas posiciones públicas.
Sostuvo que el posicionamiento del actual ministro de Turismo se sustenta tanto en las encuestas como en su desempeño al frente del ministerio y durante su gestión como alcalde del Distrito Nacional.
Trayectoria y unidad
Sanz Lovatón resaltó, además, la formación, disciplina y capacidad de trabajo de Collado, al tiempo que recordó la amistad que ambos mantienen desde la década de 1990.
En su artículo, planteó que la República Dominicana atraviesa un escenario internacional marcado por cambios geopolíticos, tecnológicos y económicos, ante el cual entiende necesario preservar los avances alcanzados durante la administración de Abinader.
Asimismo, llamó a privilegiar la unidad y los intereses colectivos por encima de las aspiraciones individuales, particularmente entre los dirigentes de la generación que actualmente acompaña al mandatario y que busca continuar su proyecto político.
Sanz Lovatón consideró que Collado reúne las condiciones para encabezar esa nueva etapa y llamó a unificar esfuerzos en torno a una propuesta que describió como "probada y novedosa". El ministro cerró su escrito con una expresión directa de respaldo a Collado: "Conmigo cuentas, David. ¡Vamos!".
